Golf can be a soothing experience for personalities from other sports. They can regularly be seen testing their skills on the golf course. Former NFL player Pat McAfee is no different as he frequently tries his hands at the sport. But a recent social media post by him might not go down well with the golf world.

McAfee shocked one and all by appearing at WrestleMania 39 event in the SoFi stadium. He is hardly free and would be finding teeing off as a relaxation tool but why did he come up as someone with a strong opinion on the sport?

The former SmackDown commentator recently posted a four-word message on his Twitter account. It read, “Golf is so rude”. The exact reason why McAfee came up with the post is not known. Perhaps the game did not do justice to him according to his liking. But his recent social media activity may rub the golfing world the wrong way. 

After all, the whopping prize money for the sports tells it enjoys a large fandom. The PGA tour purse was a mammoth $421 million for the 2022 season, which was a $30 million increase from the previous year.

McAfee has previously also posted on him playing golf in his leisure time. He shared with his fans in March that he spent time on the golf course with NFL royalty no less.

In an edition of his Pat McAfee show, he revealed that he was just back from a golf trip with the brotherly duo of Mannings. The former Indianapolis Colts player said, “I just got back from a golf trip with the Mannings. Yeah, we walked down to a golf course don’t need to talk about the name of the course or whatever.

He continued, “But it was a unbelievable, lifetime experience that I had to do, and I tell you what those Manning boys are good golfers.” Of course, anyone would be gushing after spending time with football greats Peyton Manning and his brother, Eli Manning.

Pat McAfee has put out a post that might confuse fans regarding his views on golf. But the way he described his experiences with the sport in the past displays his affection for it. There might have been a minor setback that prompted McAfee to term golf as rude. Overall he seems to be in love with it as are so many.
