Fans have been eagerly waiting for WWE to announce the 2024 edition of their WWE 2k game. So far, the marketing team for the game has been fairly dormant, not trying to attract much attention to their upcoming game. However, since the announcement could be just around the corner, the main question about the ‘cover star’ arises.

While a discussion regarding the potential cover star for WWE 2k24 could already be going on within the team, fans look back at the best possible cover for a WWE 2k game to give their feedback on which wrestler was the most impactful one to appear. Take-Two Interactive directly partnered with the Stamford-based company to develop their video games in the year 2013. As a result, the first game based on this partnership came out to be 2k14. So, a wrestling news account on ‘X’ recently posted all the covers from 2k14 to 2k23 and asked fans about which one was the best.

In 2k14, The Rock stood proudly as the cover star of the game. John Cena and Steve Austin became the cover stars for 2k15 and 2k16, respectively. In 2k17, “The Beast Incarnate” was seen on the cover. In the next two years, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles were respectively on the cover of the video games. For the first time, 2k20 had two stars on the same cover, Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch. Then, Rey Mysterio shined on the cover for 2k22 and John Cena returned again in 2023.

For this year, fans seem to be fixating on Cody Rhodes as the cover star, while some suggest other names as well.

So far, there is no confirmation about who will end up on the cover for 2k24. However, regarding the past covers, fans seem to be praising Brock Lesnar for being an iconic cover star.
