The latest edition of the game is ready to bring back several fan-favorite elements from its prior games. Whether it be the tunes of Downstait or the guest referee stipulation, the game is said to be a crowd-pleaser already with the revival of long-lost features.
And one such lost feature was the WrestleMania showcase. Ten years ago, WWE 2K14 introduced a showcase mode that focused on the history of the biggest event in sports entertainment, WrestleMania. It allowed players to relive some of the biggest matches in WrestleMania history. And with the recent hints that the 2K24 Twitter page is dropping, it seems like the showcase mode is a sure thing.
Earlier, they posted a picture of a casket, a possible nod to the Undertaker, who has been a constant attraction for the events. Maybe it could be a hint toward his showdown with Mark Henry at WrestleMania 22, which was a casket match. And now, we have another clue hinting toward the WrestleMania showcase. In a recent picture uploaded on X, the WWE 2K24 Twitter page uploaded a picture of a ladder with the caption “🪜 1.22.24 #WWE2K24”.

So if they are letting fans relive the legendary matches that took place at WrestleMania through the years, it could be a nod to the ‘No Holds Barred’ match between Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22. The tweet took fans of the game by surprise and they didn’t mince words when showcasing their excitement.
Fans stormed the comments
2K24 managed to do what they wanted: create hype. Fans couldn’t help but share their thoughts on the possible hints being dropped by the Twitter page. The fan reaction ranged from disbelief to speculation and excitement. Here are a few of them:
Some fans asked the 2K team to slow down the excitement:
ayy 2k you gotta stop cooking…
