Gone are the days when WWE stars were just WWE stars. In this day and age, pro wrestlers have been trained in a variety of combat sports before making their WWE debut. One such name is Matt Riddle. The former WWE star has been trained in a plethora of combat sports including Muay Thai and kickboxing. Speaking of kickboxing, Riddle just revealed who he would love to fight in the boxing square as the star is no longer associated with WWE.

Matt Riddle wants to fight a popular YouTuber

Fans are aware that prominent YouTubers such as KSI, Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul are trained boxers. It is Jake Paul who has now landed in Riddle’s crosshairs. In a YouTube clip posted by MuscleManMalcolm, the host was seen asking the former WWE star if he would like to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match. To this, Riddle said that he was eager for the opportunity. He said, I mean yeah I’ll do anything for some money.” He further added that he would prefer a mixed martial arts fight instead of a conventional boxing match.

Before making his way to WWE, Riddle had debuted at the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter 7 back in 2008. There he was known for incorporating Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and kickboxing in his fights. Out of the 12 times he stepped into the octagon, he came out as a winner eight times.

His career at UFC ended in 2013. Following this, he had short stints at various mixed martial arts promotions before making his way to WWE in 2018. There he was known as the King of Bros. The carefree fighter was mostly known for fighting barefoot in the ring. He was also known to incorporate some of his MMA moves in the WWE ring.

The highlight of his WWE career was his teaming up with Randy Orton. Together, the two formed the tag team called RK-Bro. The tag team became an instant fan favorite as the two had great chemistry in the ring and fun segments outside the ring. They even went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship twice. However, his WWE career was meant to be a short one much like his MMA career.

Following the merger with UFC, WWE had released a few stars from the roster. Matt Riddle’s name was also on the list and he was eventually released from his contract. Now that he has shown his interest in fighting Jake Paul, would you like to see him back in action?
