“The Undefeated Weapon”: Fans Cheer as Zelina Vega Teams Up With Her Mom to Attack Rhea Ripley With a Unique Object Close to Latin Americans at WWE Backlash 2023

WWE Backlash 2023 provided the fans with some exciting matches. Fans were especially impressed during Zelina Vega’s match against Rhea Ripley. Ripley defended her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Despite putting up a tough fight, Vega fell short against Mami and suffered a defeat.

However, the match was filled with several impressive spots including a 619 and a hard-hitting ‘Riptide’ from Rhea Ripley.

The fans were particularly impressed with one spot which stole their hearts. The Chancla or the slipper is a very close object to Hispanic families and is often used to discipline children. Mid-way through the match, fans saw Zelina Vega grab a Chancla from her mother in the crowd and use it against Ripley.

Vega’s use of a foreign object should have been a disqualification, but for some reason, it didn’t happen. However, the spot was nostalgic to several Latin American families, and the Puerto Rican crowd cheered on Vega as she used the Chancla.

Fans on Twitter were thrilled with the spot as well and showed their approval.

WWE Backlash 2023 has been one of the most entertaining PLEs, with several good matches. Fans were particularly impressed with Vega’s showing at the PLE and showed their support.
