Rhea Ripley put on a fantastic show retaining her SmackDown’s Women’s title against Zelina Vega at tonight’s Backlash event in Puerto Rico. Vega, who gave a brave fight against The Judgement Day member to try and win in her hometown, fell short to survive Ripley’s Riptide at the end.

Just after the win, The Eradicator again returned to public attention, posting an NSFW photo alongside his on-screen partner, Dominik Mysterio. Ripley and Dom have quite been in discussion since their pairing up on WWE TV. The kayfabe couple spent a lot of time together, both on and off-screen, in order to perform their storyline better.

However, while their electrifying chemistry gained a lot of attention in the wrestling world for months, they both are dating different people in reality. Speaking of Ripley, she has been romantically involved with former WWE star Buddy Matthews. The two displayed their love and admiration for each other in public several times.

After her Backlash win Ripley shared a photo flaunting Dominik’s name on the back of her wrestling tights, The current SmackDown Women’s champion flared the caption with a naughty tone that said, ‘Always bringing Papi with me.’ 

Mathews didn’t lose the chance to interfere.  Matthews, who has been publicly possessive of his real-life sweetheart, took no time to clear that only he has the exclusive right to touch his girlfriend’s body with or without Dominik’s name on it.

The current AEW star commented, ‘He might be written on ya b**… but I get to touch it 😜,’

Ripley also had a message for her other stable mate, Damian Priest, following his loss against Bad Bunny.

Grammy award-winning Rapper Bad Bunny was hungry to come out victorious in his home ground. Hence, he gave it his all against the Archer of Infamy.

The match saw a lot of interference from other stars as well, including LWO, The Judgement Day and WWE legends Carlito, and Savio Vega. Finally, the match reached an end when Bunny put Priest to rest with his Canadian Destroyer and stood tall in front of his hometown crowd.

However, Ripley didn’t forget to stand with his stablemate, even in his failure. She helped Priest to keep his chin up through an encouraging message via Twitter.

She wrote, ‘I’m proud of you.’

She should be because Priest indeed gave an impressive performance despite the loss.

Nevertheless, speaking of Rhea’s on-screen angle with Dom, we need to see how WWE plans to book it in the future.
