According to the TV ratings list provided by Wrestlenomics, this week’s episode of WWE NXT had 794,000 total viewers, making the ratings 0.26 in the 18-49 demographic. On the other hand, last week’s AEW Collision and Rampage had 366,000 viewers with 0.9 and 298,000 viewers with 0.11 respectively.
Therefore, the combined viewership of last week’s Collision and Rampage is 664000. This is 130,000 viewers less than what NXT drew this week. In the last few years, the Jacksonville-based promotion had been giving cut-throat competition to its rival company in terms of ratings and viewership. But it seems like it has strayed from its path lately.
This two-week timeline is not the only time AEW faced embarrassment at the hands of its rival promotion. You must remember how badly it did on Tuesday Night War on the October 10 episode of Dynamite despite the show featuring former WWE superstar Edge’s in-ring debut.
Not only that, WWE PLEs have also been beating Collision for quite a few months now.

WWE Premium Live Events dominate AEW Collision
Just a while ago, Wrestlenomics also released data showing that WWE premium live events have been dominating AEW Collision for the past few months. WWE PLEs and AEW Collision air on the same day, i.e. Saturday Nights. As a result, the Stamford-based promotion is stealing a good chunk of the pro wrestling audience from the Jacksonville-based promotion.
It is interesting to note that the events like Money in the Bank in London and Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia that took place a day earlier (due to time zone difference) than Collison also had the same effect on AEW’s ratings. AEW’s Saturday Night show that collided with WWE PLEs couldn’t even make the 500k mark in viewership.
