This match was special as it was Punk’s first pay-per-view match after being away for 10 months due to a torn tricep injury. Also, it was the first-round match in the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament. Punk eventually won the match by locking in the ‘Anaconda Vice’ submission move.

While fans thoroughly enjoyed the match because of Punk’s in-ring athleticism. He also did something to mock two-time Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan. During the match, while Kojima was on the floor. He mimicked Hogan while trying to hear the fans and then did his signature leg drop. Displeased fans started booing him.

But Hall Of Famer Bully Ray felt that Hogan’s leg drop clubbed with another famous wrestler’s move would definitely get the fans electrified. On a recent episode of the ‘Busted Open’ podcast, Bully said, “I don’t even know if I would have thought about this beforehand, could you imagine if Kojima and Punk. Because Punk is doing the Hogan leg drop, could you imagine if Kojima and Punk would have replicated Rock and Hogan for a moment? If Kojima would have done you know a Rock Bottom, kicking out one-two, then the leg drop, imagine they would have taken that portion of Rock and Hogan from WrestleMania and replicated it.”

Obviously, fans would find this major throwback to WrestleMania 18 as very entertaining. But this was not the first time that Punk took an open dig at The Hulkster.
