After spending a whole year defending the Intercontinental Championship to become the longest reigning champ, Gunther ends the year with a massive celebration. This had nothing to do with his in-ring victories but a personal blessing that appeared in his life.
The Ring General celebrated entering fatherhood with a post on social media. This got the entire WWE Universe to partake in the joy.
Gunther becomes a father, and the WWE Universe rejoices

Gunther has proven himself to be one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. With a unique style and persona, not only did he intimidate his competition, but he also cemented his place in the history books. He is currently the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion in the WWE.
Since June 10, 2022, he’s held onto the Intercontinental Championship and defended it on numerous occasions. He had defeated both legends and peers to retain the title. However, his year-end celebration was not for the championship reign but for something else: fatherhood.

Gunther took to social media to post an image of his newborn child, which resulted in a downpour of congratulations from the WWE Universe. Co-workers and fans sent in their heartfelt well wishes to the IC Champion. This was from both the WWE as well as from AEW.
It is always heartwarming to see the pro wrestling community come together to celebrate a wrestler’s personal life. The kayfabe animosity between companies is always kept aside to celebrate moments like this.
Gunther’s rise in the WWE and fan’s messages
As mentioned above, it was not only co-workers but also people from both AEW and WWE who sent messages to Gunther on his post. They all congratulated him on the personal blessing he received on becoming a father. This would be the first time Gunther became a father, and it was a special and intimate time for the rising star in the WWE.
