AEW made history last night at ‘All In’ by having the biggest turnout for a pro wrestling event in the UK. A total of 81,035 roaring fans packed the Wembley Stadium in London last night.
The fans got their money’s worth in the beginning as the first match to kick off the mega event was CM Punk against Samoa Joe for the Real World Championship. Moreover, Punk used the scale of the event to get the world’s attention to a genuine cause after engaging in a backstage brawl.

The night started with a power-packed match as Samoa Joe battled CM Punk for the Real World Championship. The two have a history of feuding, which goes back to their days in Ring Of Honor. And their feud reignited post Punk’s return to AEW a few months ago.
Both the wrestlers put on a tough fight as Punk left with a bloodied face toward the end of the match. But Punk got the better of Joe last night and sealed the win with a Pepsi Plunge, thus becoming the new Real World Champion. Fans were ecstatic, as Punk was once again a champion. While exiting the ring he saw a fan holding a sign ‘trans right are human right’. And he gladly posed with the sign showing his support for the cause.
This is not the first time he has advocated trans rights on AEW. On his return to AEW at Collision, he also showed his support for the LGBTQ+ community. However, the bad outweighed the good, as prior to his win, Punk got involved in a backstage brawl with an upcoming wrestler.
CM Punk got into a brawl with Jack Perry backstage prior to his championship match
CM Punk is not known to hold back from any situation as we have well seen in the past. Back in 2022, Punk got into a backstage brawl with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega post the press conference for the ‘All In’ PPV following allegations he made about the latter.

That eventually got him suspended and stripped of his AEW World Championship. But that didn’t stop Punk from getting into another brawl, this time prior to the event. Punk was having some disagreement with Jack Perry over a backstage segment last week.

And that heat continued at ‘All In’ as both the stars got into an altercation backstage before Punk’s match. After separating the two stars, AEW sent Jack Perry away from the venue so as not to escalate matters further. Hopefully, this doesn’t result in a second suspension for CM Punk. We will only have to wait and watch to see Tony Khan’s decision. But what do you guys think about CM Punk’s kind gesture to pose with the trans right sign?
