Cody Rhodes‘ family saga is a story thread that has been unfiltered to the fans ever since the popular TV series Rhodes to the Top started its telecast back in 2021. The show majorly revolves around Cody and his wife Brandi Rhodes’ journey through the thick and thin of both their personal and professional spheres of life.

Brandie left AEW along with her husband last year and has not appeared inside the squared circle ever since. The wrestling ring couldn’t offer her as much fame and glory as the Rhodes on the Top Show did. Fans were in awe seeing Brandie’s resilience to bear with many complexities within the Rhodes family. One of those marked her turbulent equation with Cody’s sister, Teil, which she revealed during one of the early episodes of the show.

Why Cody Rhodes’ sister was the most difficult family member to deal with for Brandi?

Brandi had some tension with Teil at the very beginning of her wrestling career in 2016 when Cody’s sister wasn’t convinced about Brandi using the last name, ‘Rhodes’, as her in-ring identity.

In an episode of Rhodes to the Top, Brandie noted, “The day that I was supposed to have my very first wrestling match on live television. I see a message from Cody’s sister Teil. it’s a book about this long (extends her hands out) about how I didn’t ask her if I could use the Rhodes name. (She wrote) ‘You’re not a Rhodes. By marriage only.’ Dusty (Cody’s father) and I were always close. I absolutely asked his permission to use the Rhodes name. So that was a very souring opening experience for me.”

However, despite being unable to form a very close bond, the dynamic between Brandie and Teil became slightly better during the later episodes.

While there is no definite timeline for her return to the wrestling ring, it seems like the multi-talented wife of the two-time WWE Intercontinental champion is soon to appear in some other roles.

Days after Cody Rhodes dropped a hint about her wife’s upcoming secret venture, Brandi herself seconded it without spilling the beans. Not seeing her inside the squared circle for long made some fans impatient and non-hesitant to label her as a homemaker.

While Brandi Rhodes is an amazing homemaker and a loving mother to an adorable daughter, she doesn’t forget her professional pursuits at all. She chose not to be vocal about it until an article termed her a full-time homemaker. Brandi took to her Twitter to raise her voice against this. She wrote, ‘STOP DOING THIS. IM NOT A HOMEMAKER. Just because I’m married and not in the wrestling scene anymore does not mean I’m a homemaker. I’m out here working my 🍑 off, for these fools to keep labeling me out of their own laziness. Anywho…I’m excited to share my work SOON! ‘
