Jon Moxley has been in the wrestling business for almost 20 years now. He was with the WWE from 2012 to 2019 making his debut as part of the villainous faction The Shield. During his 7-year stint with the WWE, he won multiple championships and was even the WWE Champion at one time.

Post that he joined AEW and has been with them ever since. In November 2021, he took a break from wrestling to join a rehab for his drinking problem. He is the current AEW International Champion and one of the hottest stars in AEW right now. Being the star in demand means that you also wrestle a lot and be present at most events. And Moxley always gives his best whether he is performing in front of a crowd of 1000 or even 70,000 as in the case of ‘All In’ at the Wembley Stadium in London.

But all this wrestling and traveling has taken a toll on his body, so much that he can’t move properly till noon. On his recent appearance on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, he explained how he has arthritis that is almost similar to that of a 70-year-old man. He said, “The doctor last year told me that I have the arthritis of a 70-year-old man. And that was quite humbling, that was a year or two ago. So by now, it’s like a 72-year-old man. I don’t move very well in the mornings, but thank god shows are at night because by then I’m pretty loosened up.”

Moxley even said that he would have retired by now if they recorded shows in the morning. He added, “If we started doing like those early territory-style studio TV tapings on Sunday mornings, I would have retired. I’d be done. There’s a lot of times I can’t even move before noon.”
