Wrestling promotions are the bread and butter for a wrestler. Today, there is a plethora to choose from, especially if you are a big star. Many big names in WWE have jumped ship to AEW in recent years, making headlines. But all that glitters is not gold, and sometimes wrestlers end up in poorly booked storylines after joining a new promotion.
When it comes to WWE and AEW, there’s been healthy competition. Many of the stars that left WWE joined AEW and vice versa. But now, a former WWE star currently working for AEW is dropping hints about not liking their current storyline.

Saraya (Paige) may not be happy with AEW’s storyline
Saraya, better known as Paige, debuted in AEW in September 2022. She got a massive pop in her first in-ring appearance since she left the WWE in July 2022. She allied with Toni Storm and Ruby Soho as The Outcasts. However, it’s possible that she might not be happy with the storyline she’s a part of. Her liking a comment by a fan who highlighted the shortcomings of the storyline was noticed by many. The fan wrote:
Kinda feels like the Outcasts story was a big waste of time. Obviously there’s no controlling the Hayter injury but we didn’t get Blood and Guts out of it, the whole surrounding division paused and it feels like very little was accomplished broadly in the first half of the year.

“Kinda feels like the Outcasts story was a big waste of time. Obviously, there’s no controlling the Hayter injury, but we didn’t get Blood and Guts out of it, the whole surrounding division paused, and it feels like very little was accomplished broadly in the first half of the year.” This criticism was to show that Saraya’s storyline did not hit the way fans expected, and the whole women’s division hasn’t been as interesting as it could have been.

Saraya did not personally say anything about the comment or share what she felt. But liking this post could hint at her agreeing with what fans say. As a heel faction of the AEW’s women’s division, The Outcasts feuded with Jamie Hayter and her group ‘Homegrown,’ who claim to represent the real wrestlers of AEW. They also clashed with Hikaru Shida after her return in May 2023 and betrayed the team.

The impact Saraya had on the WWE as Paige was massive.
Paige signed on with the WWE in 2011 and worked in the developmental stage. She debuted in NXT in 2012 and became the first NXT Women’s Champion. Moving to the main roster in 2014, she beat AJ Lee on her first night to win the WWE Divas Championship. This win made her the youngest and only woman to hold both titles simultaneously.

This was a massive boost to her career. Her kind of success was unheard of in the women’s division. She was the most loved underdog face in the entire division. Even turning heel earned her credit with the fans. A neck injury forced her to retire from in-ring action in 2018. She continued to work with the WWE until departing in 2022.
