In Tony Khan’s recent announcement, it was revealed that the March 13 episode of AEW Dynamite will be titled “Big Business” and will broadcast from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, Sasha Banks’ hometown. This suggests AEW’s intent to feature Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone, a staple in their women’s division.

Fightful and Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio confirmed Mone’s contract with AEW in early January, with her debut delayed until her hometown appearance. Rumors of Sasha Banks’s return to WWE intensified in December 2023 as reports surfaced of discussions with WWE officials. However, recent reports suggest negotiations have hit a roadblock, leading to a standstill.

According to Fightful, talks with WWE fell through, similar to previous discussions with AEW. Despite this, an agreement with AEW was reportedly in place around the same time, prompting WWE to acknowledge the cessation of talks.

Previous reports from Fightful Select indicated WWE engaged in talks with Sasha Banks for her potential return, but both parties couldn’t reach a deal. It was noted that Banks’s asking price exceeded that of Charlotte Flair, the highest among current female WWE Superstars.
