Samoa Joe made his debut as the new AEW World Champion a week and a half after AEW’s Worlds End. The star had a lot to say and said it with the typical Joe swagger. He announced the new method for claiming a title shot, which the fans approved. He claimed that he would stomp anyone who got in his way, which, again, the fans approved.
As Joe talked about his reign as AEW’s new World Champion, Swerve Strickland came out. He claims that it’s not personal, but he will be taking the title off Joe this year. With the entire embassy at his back, Strickland stared down Joe, but before anything could happen, Adam Page came out.

Page claimed that 2023 held a lot for him. He recounted how he beat Jon Moxley in a Texas Deathmatch and reunited with the Elite in Anarchy in the Arena and Blood & Guts. He ends it by claiming that this year, the title will be his. He mentioned that in his pursuits last year, he forgot about the title, but that won’t be the case this year.

This would not be the end of it, as Hook would be the last person to come out. Unlike the others before him, he would point to the title and claim it would be his in one week. Joe seems to be in hot water as everyone is gunning for his title. Could this be karma for what he did to win it by betraying MJF?
