Dave Meltzer picks Triple H over Tony Khan

Since Vince McMahon’s retirement in July 2022, Triple H has been the Head of Creative in the WWE. This new role saw Hunter take control of the storylines the WWE has been pushing out on wrestlers. Fans and critics have praised this move, and Hunter’s new role in the WWE program has vastly improved because of it.

Among those critics is Dave Meltzer, a wrestling journalist with over 40 decades in the industry. A majority of fans consider him to be the voice of reason in the business. Starting the Wrestling Observer in 1983, Meltzer’s opinion holds a lot of weight for wrestling fans.

Moreover, with these many years in the business, Meltzer has his own awards that he hands out to people in the wrestling business. On social media, one fan asked Meltzer who was his ‘Booker of the Year’. Meltzer’s answer was surprising, but many fans believed it was the right choice.

Replying to the fan, Meltzer wrote, “Levesque in my opinion. Bloodline story turned business around.” Meltzer refers to Triple H, whose real name is Paul Michael Levesque. Since gaining creative control of the WWE, there has been a high surge of interested fans due to the improvement in the storylines. The long-term arc of The Bloodline has made a massive contribution in the surge of the business according to the reliable journalist. This is a massive blow to Khan, who has been in hot water for the past few months. But what exactly made everyone hate Khan so much?

Why the fans hate Tony Khan

Despite creating one of the largest wrestling promotions after the WWE, Khan’s online behavior towards the titans of wrestling has been criticized heavily. From lying about the number of people attending his PPV event in London to publicly insulting Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Khan left no stone unturned in his pursuit of gaining publicity.

Many industry legends, like Eric Bischoff and Booker T., have criticized Khan’s behavior. Bischoff called Khan unprofessional and someone who lacked leadership skills when running a wrestling promotion. Furthermore, Bischoff claimed that Khan was beyond help and that his mess would not stop until he listened to others. Booker T. advised Khan to take a step back for a while and rethink his strategy.
