The pro wrestling world is still in a state of shock after hearing the news of CM Punk getting fired from AEW. Fans are eagerly waiting to hear from Punk and also to see his next move. While this happens, the new WWE Tag Team Champion Finn Bálor who is known for speaking his mind, fired direct shots at an already wounded CM Punk.

Calling him a “broomstick”, Bálor teased an upcoming feud with Punk.

Finn Bálor will wrestle CM Punk only for the money

CM Punk has become the only wrestler in pro wrestling history to be fired from both the WWE and AEW. Fans are now eager to know his next move. He could either join another wrestling promotion or take a hiatus from wrestling. The NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion E3 expressed his desire for Punk to join the NWA.

We are yet to hear from Punk about his side of the story post his firing. But in the meantime, fans are speculating that he might just make a return to the WWE. Amidst these rumors, Finn Bálor opened up about the prospect of facing Punk in the future.

On his appearance on the Ringer Wrestling Show, he said, “I’d be interested in wrestling a broomstick if someone is going to pay me money. Money talks”. The comment indicates that Bálor doesn’t care about his opponent as long as it’s worth it. Using a broomstick and CM Punk in the same sentence didn’t go down well with a few fans.

One fan joked that they would love to see Bálor wrestle a broom and a mop next week on RAW. But you can’t blame Bálor for being so cocky, as he has just achieved a feat only 23 other wrestlers have in all of WWE’s history.

Finn Bálor just became the 24th Grand Slam Champion in the WWE

Finn Bálor is part of The Judgement Day, the most dominant faction right now in the WWE. Each of their members holds a title which gives them an added amount of respect in the business. But what makes Finn Bálor extra special in that group is that he is the 24th Grand Slam Champion in the WWE.

The Grand Slam is an accomplishment recognized by the WWE if a wrestler wins four specific championships or all of the titles in the promotion. The four titles initially included the WWE Universal, Intercontinental, United States, and WWE Tag Team Championships, with the Heavyweight Championship being added later to that list.

During his 8-year career with the WWE, Bálor has won the United States, Intercontinental, Universal Championships, and just recently, the WWE Tag Team Championship as well.
