Despite leaving the wrestling ring a long time back, WWE legend Ric Flair has always been the talk of the town be it for his new energy drink venture, dishing out moot perspectives, or dropping his ever-changing health updates. That said, this time the 74-year-old Hall of Famer rose to the top of the news for an entirely startling reason.
When wrestling folks have already given up on the idea of seeing the 16-time World Champion lacing up his boots again, The Sixty Minute Man startled fans by signing a multiyear AEW contract. Before people were done processing his untimely debut, the 74-year-old dropped another bombshell on his wish to take on MJF at a promo battle. Now, the AEW World Champion has given his take on this as well.

Ric Flair’s comment on facing off against the 27-year-old AEW sensation has been making rounds on social media for the past two days. Obviously, it didn’t go unnoticed by MJF himself as well. The Salt of The Earth responded to his urge with an added element. He suggested a buried alive match.
Over on Twitter, MJF wrote, ‘ How about a buried alive match?”

While Flair is yet to find his footing at the Jacksonville-based promotion, fans are already buzzing about his potential opponent in the new wrestling ring. Now, after the interaction between him and MJF came to the surface, fans might have gotten their answers.
However, MJF is currently fully focused on AEW Full Gear and his ROH World Tag Team Championship defense battle. Also, The Devil will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Jay White.

So, an intense brawl with the WWE legend might be a far-off idea for now. But will he be around Khan’s business for that long?
Will MJF leave the AEW ring soon?
MJF is currently one of the busiest AEW acts to look up to. That said he might not show up next year as a voyage contract status and AEW’s doubtful promotional efforts hinted so.
MJF already came clean on the status of his soon-to-end AEW deal. To specify the timeline, it might not even last more than a few months. On top of it, AEW snubbed him in the recently revealed All In London 2 poster.
A star-loaded AEW All In London 2 will be aired from Wembley Stadium on August 25th, 2024. After the first exclusive look of the poster came out, fans spotted Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, and Toni Storm on it, but they found MJF nowhere.
