Former WWE superstar and current AEW Champion, Samoa Joe took to X on 8th January to taunt video game lovers.

The console wars have been a long-standing tradition between users of both the Xbox and the PlayStation. However, while gamers are busy trying to prove superiority over each other, Joe does not seem to care. Though he broke character to talk about something so casual, he did not deviate much from his character while making a logical point. He explained that the gaming companies were only extorting money from passionate players every month in the name of entertainment.

He further stated an example of Blockbuster vs. Hollywood to give a reference for the rivalry. He tweeted, “If only Blockbuster and Hollywood Video could have got their feud right, they might still be around 😂.”  Do you know about it?

Blockbuster ultimately emerged as the leader, but both companies faced challenges with the rise of digital streaming, leading to their decline.

Joe’s comments come as sarcasm towards the two companies battling each other instead of leveraging upon the audience. Well, this is exactly what he is doing now as the rivalry between MJF and Adam Cole got intense at World’s End PPV. It propelled him to become an AEW World Champion.
