Last week’s Dynamite episode was a special one. It was Edge‘s in-ring debut in AEW and Tony Khan was hoping to capitalize on the situation and defeat WWE in the Tuesday Night War. However, WWE NXT beat AEW Dynamite in ratings as the Stamford-based promotion used top names in the promotion to grasp the audiences’ interest.
It pissed Khan that WWE beat AEW in ratings and via appearances of legends such as The Undertaker and John Cena and brutally shamed them. Replying to the tweet revered wrestler Bully Ray dropped a motivational message to the AEW President.

Going to his Twitter account, Ray retweeted Khan’s post and replied with a motivational message. He didn’t bash or criticize the AEW president for slamming WWE, Taker, and Cena. In fact, he praised AEW and Khan for putting up a very entertaining show on Dynamite last Tuesday.
He then wrote a line saying, “Live to fight another day.” With this line, he gave Khan some hope that though this time he failed to beat WWE, next time he might be successful in his endeavors. He boasted Khan’s morale and subtly motivated him not to give up, as Ray believes AEW is doing a superb job in the wrestling industry.

The reply post was completely different in tone from how Khan tweeted. Ray delivered his message with a calm tone while Khan straight up attacked WWE in his tweet.

Khan didn’t take his loss to WWE very well. After reports made their way to the internet that WWE beat AEW with significant TV ratings, the AEW took out his frustrations online. John Cena and The Undertaker’s names were dragged through the mud in this effort.

The two legends have never appeared on a WWE show with under a million total viewers and under 400k in the demographics until this past Tuesday. He used this point to sham WWE for bringing them to NXT and deliberately putting their prestige at risk for a quick win.

He also slammed Shawn Michaels (the Creative Head of NXT) for booking the two legends for NXT just so they could get more views than AEW. Ray countered Khan’s hate message with love.
