Drew McIntyre is currently on the Road to WrestleMania XL for the WWE World Heavyweight title match against Seth Rollins. However, along the way, he started a feud with CM Punk, who was injured at the Royal Rumble and required surgery. Since then, the Scottish Warrior has been throwing subtle and not-so-subtle shade at Punk during his promos. While Punk is recovering from his tricep injury and gearing up for Mania despite not having a match on the cards, McIntyre is busy making fun of him.

Drew McIntyre uses AEW Jack Perry’s words to diss CM Punk

CM Punk and Jack Perry’s AEW feud began with a disagreement and led to a brawl. Concerned about safety, Punk reportedly clashed with Perry over his use of real glass at their London PPV, AEW All In. This culminated in a physical altercation backstage at the pay-per-view, leading to suspensions for both. Punk’s suspension, however, led to his termination from the company despite being a massive draw. This incident led to the dramatic entry of Punk at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Taking to social media, McIntyre posted a video of him before working out. He talked about how Punk would be at WrestleMania and how he is recovering using baby weights. Once his rant was over, he played Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River before working out. This immediately gained fans’ attention as it harkens back to what Perry said at All In. After the spot in question that led to the feud with Punk, Perry looked at the camera and said, “Real glass, go cry me a river,” which was aimed at Punk.

Fan reaction and CM Punk’s involvement at WrestleMania

While fans loved the video, there is a chance that Punk could get his revenge. With Punk making it clear that he will be at Mania, be it invited or not, there is a chance we could see some kind of involvement. Meanwhile, in response fans have thanked Perry for this feud.

Despite the rivalry between the two promotions, fans were sure that Perry would approve of the taunt.

Even Punk fans seemed to have left him high and dry thanks to this jab, with many saying that they love heel McIntyre’s run.

The news seems to have extended out of the WWE Universe as well, as netizens who haven’t kept up with WWE also agree that the jab was something to behold.
