During an ongoing discussion on X, a fan brought up how at times in AEW wrestlers have competed with injuries. which can be dangerous, to this another user replied that doctors clear the wrestlers before a match. This led to another thread of discussion where the person who started the discussion mentioned that AEW doctors allowed Matt Hardy to continue to wrestle after suffering a concussion. This led to Dave Meltzer’s response where he cited something similar from WWE, writing, “Please, Ricochet got a concussion in a match just a few weeks ago and wrestled ten more minutes. S**t happens in every company. You can say they both are good or they both suck, but you can’t say one is good and the other is bad on that front.”

This prompted another user to reply to Meltzer, “Anyone else tired of Dave and his aew bias?” Not to shy away the journalist was quick to dismiss the notion. He replied, “I’m tired of people who don’t even read or comprehend saying AEW bias when I examine business and WWE has been doing better overall as I point out every single week. Geez, ratings, attendances, advances, all covered every single week.”

Well, looking at the thread that he frequently organizes on X, it seems that he has had enough.

Meltzer highlighted a point to answer the fans

In the same thread, Meltzer again defended himself from the allegations of selectiveness. He highlighted how WWE and AEW shows performed during the week. Moreover, he responded to his previous comments by shooting salvos at those who tried to troll him.

He wrote, “Must admit the responses to this are hilarious. Somehow this stat means bias against WWE (you know, for being first) or bias toward AEW (you know, for being second). It’s cloudy out, but man those people who don’t believe overcast exists are also furious and that’s the level of the responders”
