On Wednesday, former WWE superstar Edge appeared on AEW. Since his release from the company in September, fans expected him to appear on AEW as he did not renew his WWE contract. While many are disappointed that he could not take on The Judgment Day as his last feud, Edge has not forgotten about them.
One of the reasons why fans were excited to see Edge on AEW was because of his real-life friend, Christian. Christian debuted in AEW in March 2022, and since Edge did not renew his contract, fans expected him to jump ship to join Christian. Since Christian joined AEW, he has teamed up with Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. However, Edge felt like this team-up resembled something he tried to do in the WWE.
During the segment where Edge made his AEW debut, he asked Christian to consider getting the band back together. Back in the WWE, the two were both real-life wrestling partners. The fans loved the two, and they had great chemistry and some of the best matches together.
Speaking to Christian Edge said, “And I’m speaking from experience here, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne are going to drop you like a bad hat as soon as they’ve sucked all the information out of your brain.” The experience Edge is talking about is his time with The Judgment Day.
As soon as his use in the stable was over, the team of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley betrayed him and kicked him out of the group. So it seems that despite being on off-terms with Christian, the wrestling legend is still looking out for him.

As mentioned before, Edge and Christian have been friends all their life. In a recent interview with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, Edge made it clear that it was a dream to perform with Christian in the squared circle. Despite Christian ending the segment by telling Edge to “go f**k yourself,” fans are still excited about this.
A fan-favorite possible outcome includes rehashing how Edge was booted out of The Judgment Day. Christain could be betrayed only for Edge to come and save him. This would effectively get the band back together.
