CM Punk returned to wrestling through AEW last year, but his stay wasn’t remembered for good. During his controversial stay, he got involved in a major backstage beef during AEW All Out PPV on September 4th, 2022 in Illinois.
Though CM Punk and Ace Steel, major characters involved in the fiasco, have left AEW, the matter has taken a fresh turn recently. Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho took to X on December 25th to vent out on the attorney for CM Punk and Ace Steel.

Lawyer triggers the old fire involving Chris Jericho
While talking to the hosts Rup Rogers and Van Vilas, Stephen P. New revealed the person who could give a neutral and unbiased description of the ill-fated event from the AEW ALL OUT event of 2022. He stated, “The only person, and granted, she’s not completely objective and unbiased, the only person not subject to an NDA and not subject to confidentiality provisions is Ace’s wife Lucy. Maybe one day she tells the story.”
The person in reference is Lucy, Ace Steel’s wife. In the defence of CM Punk and Ace Steel, Stephen P New stated that everybody present had signed an NDA, except Lucy. Hence, only her statement should be considered neutral and unbiased. But Jericho came with a reply of his own.
