Before appearing on the March 15 episode of SmackDown. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to social media to hype up his appearance. This is where he first used the title ‘Final Boss,’ while referring to himself. He then used it during his in-ring promo, and Cody Rhodes did question it. However, did you know that this title belongs to an AEW star?

This is not the first time someone has called out Johnson for using the title. Even Hall of Famer Booker T. questioned the fair use of the moniker on his podcast.

AEW’s Serena Deeb claims Dwayne Johnson stole her ‘Final Boss’ title

Serena Deeb is a former WWE star who is now working for AEW. She is best remembered as Serena in The Straight Edge Society with CM Punk in 2010. She would leave the company the following year only to return in 2017 for a 3-year stint till 2020. Following her second departure from the WWE, she joined AEW the same year.

Recently, she was on Highspots Sign-it-Live, where she talked about Johnson and his use of the ‘Final Boss’ term. She said, “Funny thing is I said that (‘The Final Boss’) on Collision.”

The episode in question is her use of the term on the March 2 episode of AEW Collision, weeks before The Rock used it. She went on to say, “He stole it? Someone took it, and you guys would know who he is.” This is directly referring to The Rock.

However, Serena would be the second person to call out the use of the term ‘Final Boss.’ On his podcast, Booker T touched upon it as well.

Booker T says no one can call out Johnson for using the ‘Final Boss’ term

On the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker explained why no one could call out Dwayne Johnson for using the term. He said, “You know Rock though, he feel like you know since he on the Board he can do what he want he pretty much do what he want to do.”
