There are some wrestlers who are known in the WWE for their mic skills, some because of their charisma, and some because of their in-ring gimmicks. But there are also a small group of wrestlers who put their body on the line to provide the fans with additional entertainment.

These wrestlers perform high risk moves which sometimes are so astounding, that fans are left with their jaws wide open. Logan Paul, Ricochet and Jey Uso are among the top stars performing these adrenaline pumping maneuvers these days. But recently, WWE veteran Rob Van Dam performed a move on AEW Dynamite that would even put the ‘Maverick’ to shame.

During the Attitude Era, very few wrestlers were known for performing daredevil maneuvers. At the top of this list were Matt Hardy, Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. But another wrestler was really putting his body on the line by doing the ‘frog splash’ from top of a 20 foot steel cage. We are talking about none other than ‘The Whole F’n Show’ Rob Van Dam.

He was mainly with the WWE between 2001 and 2007. During this time he enthralled the audience with his signature death defying moves like ‘The Five Star Frog Splash’ and ‘Corkscrew Leg Drop’ to name a few. He later left the WWE and continued wrestling on the independent circuit and various other promotions. He was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2021.

But just last week, RVD made his thunderous debut on AEW Dynamite. The crowd went berserk as they never expected him to make a return to the ring because of his age. He then challenged Jack Perry for his FTW Championship. And on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, RVD put on a spectacular show just like in his ‘Attitude Era’ days. He even performed his iconic ‘Corkscrew Leg Drop’ but unfortunately lost the match that night. But fans had nothing but respect for the veteran star for being so agile even at the age of 52.

Fans are comparing Rob Van Dam to John Cena

The audience couldn’t believe their eyes when RVD performed the ‘Corkscrew Leg Drop’ just like he did in his hay days. I mean yes, we see Hulk Hogan do the leg drop and Ric Flair do ‘The Figure Four Leglock’ at such a senior age. But doing a high-risk maneuver at 52 is nothing short of a death wish. But RVD executed the move in his uber cool style as always. And fans had nothing but respect for him.

A fan was left dumbstruck that a human can perform such maneuvers at 52!

Someone commented on the fact that RVD never ages, only gets better like fine wine!

While another fan mocked John Cena by saying that he could hardly fight Austin Theory at Wrestlemania. He said, “Meanwhile cena could hardly move vs theory at mania 🙈”.

We don’t know what RVD is doing to stay fit but he is definitely giving the young talent like Ricochet and Logan Paul a run for their money at 52.
