Wrestlers leaving their promotion is nothing new in the world of pro wrestling. This could be due to their contracts ending, issues with the management, or just trying out something else. The fans of that wrestler, however, do get angry when they come to know that their favorite wrestler could leave the company. This is the current case with AEW star Jade Cargill.

Cargill has been working with AEW since November 2020. She amassed several accolades and fans along the way for her in-ring performance. This could be why Tony Khan is upset at the news that she could be leaving.

Jade Cargill is a force to be reckoned with. During her time in the AEW, she has proved this with massive feats of strength and good in-ring ability. However, even the fans have been discussing the poor booking of the entire women’s division in AEW. Since the start of 2023, major stars in the division have been booked rather poorly, resulting in many going on hiatus.

Among the names currently not wrestling actively are Jamie Hayter and Jade Cargill, due to an injury. The former TBS champion took a hiatus since the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2023. This is where she lost her title and her unbeaten streak to Kris Statlander. Since then, Cargill has been dropping cryptic messages and hints about her choice of not returning on social media.

Dave Meltzer spoke about this on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. “I’ve heard a few things like she might not come back, is what she said, which is the last thing we heard,” Meltzer said.

Regarding wrestling insider news, Meltzer is among the most respected and trusted sources. Once this news went online, fans started claiming it was time for her to join the big leagues, the WWE.

This is in reference to the inconsistent booking she faced. While having a great track record and impressive in-ring strength and ability, AEW didn’t put the spotlight on her in a major way. She was never put in a meaningful storyline or feud, even though she was built up as a dominant force.

Fans list out dream matches for Cargill

Back in 2019, Cargill received a 100-page contract from the WWE. This was before she joined AEW. While speaking about her contract and the terms and conditions, she mentioned that she did not like it and opted for AEW later where she became the inaugural TBS Champion.

Upon hearing what Meltzer had to say, the fans quickly gave their opinion on Twitter.

Many started posting about their dream matches with Cargill.
