This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The first Dynamite episode of 2024 was highly anticipated after all the things that went down on AEW World’s End PPV last week. A lot happened in the episode, but one particular thing caught the attention of the fans the most.

AEW added a new star to its roster on this week’s Dynamite show, who looked very much like WWE star Tiffany Stratton. The resemblance was so similar that many fans even called her the former NXT Women’s Champion’s clone on social media.

Mariah May made her AEW in-ring debut on the first episode of 2024

Newcomer Mariah May started her AEW journey with a monumental victory over her opponent on Dynamite 01/03/ 2024. She wrestled her debut match against Queen Aminata and even won her first singles bout. The 25-year-old AEW star easily defeated Aminata, despite the latter putting on her best efforts.

The ending segment of the match saw May hitting her finisher maneuver called May Day on her opponent. Thus, she picked up the victory via pinfall. She fought her first AEW match very well and winning her debut earned a big applause from the fans. Yet, it was not her debut victory but the striking resemblance that made her go viral on the internet.

Fans are calling Mariah May a Tiffany Stratton 2.0

When the wrestling universe saw May on Dynamite this week, they were quick to point out how much she looked like Stratton. Blond hair, bold personality, and similar wrestling gear… all resembled the former NXT Women’s Champion. It was as if Stratton herself was performing in the AEW ring.

Going to X (formerly called Twitter), wrestling fans dropped their reactions stating how they felt about AEW’s new roster addition looking so similar to Stratton. Here is what the fans said.

Wrestling style, elegance, posture… fans believe everything about Mariah May screamed Tiffani Stratton.

This user even accused May of copying Stratton’s distinct style.

Born on 4 August 1998, Mariah May made her wrestling in 2022. She wrestled in independent circuits and World Wonder Ring Stardom before joining AEW. Just in her first match, she has managed to pull in the interest of the wrestling fans. Though it was her looks, not her wrestling skills, people were more interested in discussing.
