This year’s AEW All In was a grand success. As claimed by the AEW President himself, the show sold more than 80,000 paid tickets in London, England. The live show event in Wembley was well-received by fans all over the world. Indeed, this is truly a commendable feat achieved by the Jacksonville-based promotion.
While celebrating his admirable success in the 2023 AEW All In Post Show Media Scrum, Tony Khan made a bold claim about WWE. This left the WWE Universe fuming in rage. Let’s dive deep and find out what did he say that made the fans come after him mercilessly.

Khan sat down for an interview on 8/27/23 in London. During the post-media scrum, he started boasting about the All In ticket sales. While doing that, he inadvertently compared AEW’s recent London-based event to WWE’s biggest premium live event of the year, WrestleMania.
He said, “For a long time, the only spectacle for many years was WrestleMania. Now there’s AEW, it [All In] sold more tickets than any WrestleMania ever.” WrestleMania 32 in AT&T Stadium in 2016 had a paid attendance of a bit over 80k fans. This year, All In surpassed the record and sold more tickets in London.
By this statement, Khan may have implied that ALL In is the biggest pro wrestling show of all time. This bold claim from the AEW President led to chaos in social media.
Khan received severe backlash on Twitter for his boastful remark
Fans lambasted Khan over his comments. WrestleMania is not only WWE’s biggest event but also the grandest wrestling event in the world. Therefore, some WWE fans are quite upset with the AEW President and vented out their frustration on Twitter.
You just know HHH will be straight onto Wembley Stadium to book it for Wrestlemania and it will smash AEW's attendance.

Dude sold under 3500 tickets to his "flagship" show last night and he wants to say his one time lucky event is as big as wrestlemania? 😆😆😆 btw WWE literally sold over 90k tickets and made close to 22 million on the first day WM 40 tickets went on sale two weeks ago.

The WWE fans challenge Khan to draw the same results in America as they did in London.
Just because you sold more tickets on an international show, doesn’t mean it’s a “spectacle” do it back to back in America & then talk Tony

ight lets see it happen in the US tony

It will be comparable when they can actually replicate it in North America…or anywhere outside the UK.
TK can obsess over the success of All In…but it is laughable to think it can even be talked about in the same breath as Mania.

Some pro-wrestling fans claim that people don’t care about All In’s attendance. What they do care is about the CM Punk and Jack Perry’s fight, which took place backstage in Wembley at All In.
For those unaware, the two stars got into a heated confrontation backstage. As per the reports, it took place right after Perry’s match against Hook and before Punk’s match against Samoa Joe. This has led to AEW suspending both the stars.
The most “wow” thing about #AEWAllIn was the fact there was 81,000 people there.
That doesn’t make the show a spectacle.
The only thing people are talking about are the attendance, and the Punk/Perry situation.
The only people talking about the show are the performers…

Nobody’s talking about the event, they’re talking about a backstage fight

WWE Universe refutes Khan’s bold claims.
@TonyKhan you do realise All in isnt even better than the worst wrestlemania
