“Cookin Y’all”: Ice Cube’s Son Seemingly Sides With CM Punk After His Clear Dig at Tony Khan’s All In Wembley Attendance Claim

CM Punk returned to Monday Night Raw on Monday after a nearly two-month absence because of his triceps injury. His journey toward recovery continues and there are still a few more months until he makes a full recovery. However, that didn’t stop the Chicago-based star from making an appearance in front of his hometown. He starred in a segment with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins that most fans have praised.

And after his praiseworthy appearance, he took to his social media to share his comments on the show and took a dig at Tony Khan. Thus, prompting reactions from fans and apparently, a star kid.

Punk being the Punkster

The latest edition of RAW took place at the All-State Arena in CM Punk’s hometown of Chicago. And there, Punk ran into Indi Hartwell, a WWE superstar as well as one of the star’s biggest fans. Poking fun at her in his Instagram story, Punk uploaded a story of Hartwell in the catering area with a hotdog on her plate. But what caught the former AEW star’s sincere attention was the amount of ketchup on it. So, being a normal man, he took to Instagram to claim that the Chicago Delegation has banned Indi Hartwell from future visits due to the choice of condiment and would be allowed again only if reparations were made.

He shared another story that seemed to take a dig at Tony Khan’s All In Wembley attendance claim. He wrote, “Thank you. All 85K (turnstile count from Chicago delegation) of you that came to the show last night. We set records. Gate. Merch. Amount of time it took to leave parking lot. Swears. Ketchup on hotdogs (1 according to Chicago delegation.” This was followed by, “Just kidding. Don’t get upset. Chicago delegation would not lie to you. 14,950 paid, 15,431 paid + comp. Wanted to deliver while injured and I felt I did. Chicago is the best. Love you all.”

This seems to have caught the attention of O’Shea Jackson, the son of Hollywood icon Ice Cube. Jackson, who is a huge WWE fan. The actor couldn’t help but praise Punk’s humor as he tweeted, “Hahaha he be cookin y’all man” as he shared an image of Punk’s story.

Well, being a fan of The Second City Saint’s humor and trash-talking skills, Jackson surely would’ve loved Punk’s latest segment on RAW as the entire segment was an unscripted one. And it did break the boundaries of the WWE as the former AEW star ended up swearing in the segment.

RAW goes unscripted

The latest edition of RAW featured a segment between Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk. They did not hesitate to verbally attack each other as expected. The actual enmity between the wrestlers and the turnout of the Chicago crowd gave the segment a much freer feel than what could usually be felt in a fully scripted segment.

‘Fightful’ was able to learn more details about it. According to company sources, the segment had a general outline and its protagonists went on stage to improvise around it. Adam Pearce, who currently holds the role of General Manager of the red brand, produced this segment.

However, those same sources also claim that WWE had not foreseen the phrase in which CM Punk swore. Obviously, these could only be heard by the audience, being censored in the broadcast of the show on USA Network. Despite this, it doesn’t look like CM Punk has had any issues with WWE. As confirmed by the media, the relationship between the two parties remains good. It should be recalled that a memo was recently sent to WWE presenters and commentators in which they were discouraged from swearing live.
