In this week’s edition of AEW Collision, CM Punk teamed up with Ricky Starks, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler to take on Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. During the main event of the show, White pinned Starks and thus Punk’s team ended up losing the match.

After the loss, ‘The Second City Savior’ addressed the Canadian crowd and stated that regardless of his loss, he will keep fighting and coming back. He also made a reference to Toronto Maple Leafs during his brief speech.

It was Punk’s second match on the new AEW weekly show. The fans saw him and his team in a losing effort. But he didn’t get disappointed by his loss. Instead, he decided to remain positive and keep striving to do his best. He even took full responsibility for his team losing on the Saturday show.

He said, “I would like to make this short and sweet. As the team captain, I take full responsibility for the loss. I want you all to know, even though I lose sometimes, I’m going to keep on coming back and fighting, just like your Toronto Maple Leafs.”

To exemplify his statement, he made a remark about Toronto Maple Leafs. It has been decades since the Toronto-based ice hockey team won a Stanley Cup Championship. But they still give their best and never stop fighting. This reference to the Toronto ice hockey team might be a hint of his turning heel.

But is a heel turn really appropriate for him right now?

Which direction should Punk proceed?
