It seems that CM Punk did his best to reconcile with The Elite after the infamous ‘Brawl Out’ incident last year in Tony Khan’s promotion. But his efforts came out futile after receiving a warning message from the lawyers’ side. However, there have been legit doubts about the real sender of the message according to Punk. The AEW star, in fact, didn’t keep the members of The Elite out of his suspect listed.
Every wrestling fans are aware of the intense backstage heat between the self-proclaimed ‘Best in the World’ and The Elite. Following the infamous media scrum at AEW All Out last year, Punk and members of The Elite got into a backstage brawl that led the suspension of all the wrestlers involved. But it seems like the drama didn’t end there.

One day ahead of his much anticipated AEW return, Punk sat for an ESPN interview to discuss a wide range of topics, including the current dynamic of his controversies with The Elite.
According to the recordings of the interview, it turned out that Punk reached out to Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks for mending the issues, but he couldn’t proceed further with his attempt because of the lawyers’ warning. They told him not to contact them further.
"CM Punk told ESPN when he reached out to Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, he got "messages from lawyers saying, 'Do not contact this person.'"

Now, the reasons and nature of the warning are still unknown, keeping the door open for some more controversy.
However, Punk cleared things up from his side. He even made an apology to Tony Khan.

The former AEW World Champion is eager to make things right before his return to the Jacksonville-based promotion tomorrow.
Punk doesn’t even think that the scuffle between him and The Elite was a big deal. The 44-year-old is wise enough to point out that these petty things do happen in every other sport and it’s completely silly to sink into it for this long. That’s why he had no issue bowing down to Khan, admitting his part in the mishap.

During the same interview with ESPN, Punk noted, ‘‘The first thing I said to Tony when I sat down with him and spoke to him after it was, ‘Man, I’m really sorry I put you in that position. I apologize for the scrum’‘
Now, we will have to see what will await him at tomorrow’s AEW Collision in Chicago.
