The hangover from the WrestleMania weekend hadn’t worn off and Monday Night Raw was already upon fans. A segment early in the night confirmed that the team of Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa would take on an unlikely duo of Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar in the main event. However, the events of the night took a sharp turn as Lesnar attacked his partner brutally. And a moment after the beat down led to fans speculating whether this had anything to do with Rhodes’ AEW past.
The Beast who had portrayed a babyface character on-screen shockingly reverted to his usual self. And he flipped the bird a rarity in the PG-Era. Many people believe that Rhodes’ previous mocking of the WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H is connected to these events.

Lesnar returned to the TitanTron after unleashing his carnage on ‘The American Nightmare’. And he waved his middle fingers to his badly beaten victim. Regular watchers concocted that this might be related to a previous post by AEW star Jon Moxley featuring Rhodes in 2019. The post consisted of both wrestlers giving a middle finger salute to the camera.

Who was the target of this gesture is still unknown. It was understood that the dig was aimed at Triple H. People are raising questions about the current boss following the shocking fate that befell the second-generation superstar at RAW.
This comes after the fact that wrestling fanatics cited another moment from Rhodes’ AEW time for his recent Mania loss.
Rhodes took a massive shot at Triple H during his AEW days
Rhodes was an influential member in creating the Jacksonville-based promotion back in 2019. He broke a throne similar to the one used by Triple H in his past Mania entrances during the inaugural All or Nothing event.

Fans saw the moment as a direct shot at WWE as a new competitor rose against it. As soon as Rhodes lost his main event clash against Reigns, many were sure of a connection between the two incidents.
Nevertheless, the agonizing loss at WrestleMania 39 means that Cody Rhodes’ dream remains unfulfilled. Add to that, the red-brand beating he got from Brock Lesnar and he looks further away from his dream.
Fans are bound to cling to any theory for this treatment of the babyface. Whether it be Triple H not forgetting the gesture by Rhodes and Jon Moxley in 2019 or be it the infamous throne incident.
