During an online Q&A session on YouTube, Private Party‘s Isaiah Cassidy and Marq Quen talked about a lesser-known side of Tony Khan. Cassidy stated that the president of AEW offered to pay the duo’s college tuition fees on one condition. He said, “I don’t think I ever told this story but he offered to pay for Quint and I’s college if we kept like I think a 3.0 grade.” However, the duo started discussing whether a 3.0 is a B grade or not. But it did highlight a side of Khan that many fans are not aware of.
Cassidy then shed some more light on the incident. He said, “Yeah I think so but knowing me so I was young and dumb I’m like ‘I don’t want to do college’ cuz I already tried college.” Due to this reason, the duo decided to pass on the offer.
He concluded by saying, “When he told me about this opportunity I knew it was a beautiful opportunity that a lot of people wouldn’t have passed on, however, I just thought it was really kind and it was really a dope thing to do by T Khan but, we didn’t.”
While they did talk about how Tony Khan was ready to support their education, the duo also addressed their long absence from television.

The duo has been off-air since Quen suffered an injury following his last televised match in November 2022. Quen talked about the injury and what happened following that. He stated that he had a torn pectoralis, which is a very common occurrence among pro wrestlers. However, he was provided with two options. He either had the non-surgical route or surgery.

While the first option does sound good, he was informed that he wouldn’t have the same strength as before. Due to that, Quen decided to opt for reconstructive surgery for his torn muscle. Right now, he is undergoing recovery and will return to AEW soon. While Tony Khan received a major backlash from fans, do you think this revelation will help repair his image?
