Only last week, Ricochet was put on concussion protocol following his head injury on RAW. He was competing in a four-way match to decide the new number-one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He suffered a concussion and doesn’t remember most of what happened during the match.

It is still unclear when Ricochet will be back in action. And similarly tonight on Rampage, Roderick Strong also suffered a minor mishap that could have resulted in a life-threatening injury. He was wrestling against Action Andretti and was in control throughout the match.

Then towards the end of the match, Strong tried to deliver a Spanish Fly which went horribly wrong. This resulted in the referee causing a temporary stoppage to check on Strong. But after Strong confirmed that he was right, the match continued. Strong finally won the match by delivering a thunderous strong bow.

Another AEW superstar also suffered a concussion almost 2 months ago that put him out of action for sometime.

There are certain wrestling moves that are often considered really dangerous, like the vicious powerbomb or the shooting star. But the one that takes the top spot is the pile driver. Jon Moxley was defending his AEW International Championship against Rey Fenix in September. Moxley seemed much in control until Fenix decided to give him an over-the-shoulder sitout piledriver. In doing so, he ended up giving Moxley a concussion to the head.

Moxley immediately realized that something was wrong and called for attention audibly. The referee then signaled Fenix to finish off the match, and he did so by delivering another piledriver. Post his title loss, Moxley immediately left the ring so he could get himself treated for the concussion.
