If there is one big question on the mind of all AEW fans, it is the identity of ‘The Devil.’ The mysterious character has stolen the limelight for months now with his henchmen beating down on AEW stars. Despite multiple speculations by the fans, the latest episode of AEW Dynamite could’ve dropped hints at the identity of The Devil. And to make it even more interesting, it could be related to CM Punk.
After being terminated from AEW, Punk returned to the WWE. However, his work in AEW could be the link to reveal The Devil’s identity.
The Devil could be Jack Perry

In this episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Page gets jumped in the parking lot. This ambush was the plan of The Devil, who stood by watching his henchmen do all the dirty work. The segment ended with Page getting slammed on the windscreen of a parked car. This right here gave the fans a big clue about the identity of The Devil.

The link many fans have pointed out dates back to AEW All In London. During this PLE, Perry slammed Hook onto a car windscreen. It perfectly mirrored what happened with Page tonight. It was reported that Punk didn’t want the use of actual glass during the segment.

However, Perry went ahead with real glass. This led to the moment where Page looked at the camera and said, “Real glass, cry me a river.” Fans know about the interaction backstage between Punk and Perry that led to Punk’s termination from AEW. This became a turning point in Punk’s career and his start back to the WWE.

What happened between Punk and Perry?
According to the initial report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, there was a backstage altercation between Punk and Perry at Wembley Stadium on August 28. The incident has been described in conflicting ways, with some reports suggesting Punk initiated it, while others blame Perry.
One source informed Fightful Select that Punk confronted Perry about a potential issue and claimed Perry did not throw the first punch. Allegedly, Punk shoved Perry and placed him in a chokehold. Samoa Joe, Punk’s opponent at All In London, intervened to maintain peace and prevent others from getting involved. Punk reportedly expressed frustration, repeatedly shouting, ‘I hate this place,’ citing ongoing issues within the promotion.
