The Internet Wrestling Community has been talking about just one thing lately, Dwayne Johnson taking Cody Rhodes’ spot. Amidst all the chaos, fans have forgotten about a topic that was being heavily discussed a few weeks ago. For those who are still wondering what Mercedes Mone f.k.a Sasha Banks’ next pro wrestling destiny will be, here is an update and it looks like she chose Tony Khan over Triple H.
Sasha Banks has made her move
If the reports are to be trusted, The Boss has reportedly filmed some content for her AEW debut. The debut content was shot last week. However, what is interesting to note is that she was not seen backstage during the AEW Dynamite airing. Both Banks and AEW have been in talks since the summer of 2023. However, it was reported that the talks had fallen through. But now it looks like that might have not been the case.

It was reported that back in August 2023, AEW was pushing hard to get Banks on board. But as December came, the talks reportedly halted. On the other hand, speculation that she might be returning to WWE where at an all-time high. Later, those rumors were debunked. The reason why she might not have made her move to WWE is said to be her asking price. It was reported that Banks was asking for a fat paycheck, something that WWE was not ready to agree to.

While Banks might be making her move to AEW, a friend of hers has recently returned to WWE.
A familiar face returned
Back in May 2022, Trinity Fatu a.k.a Naomi accompanied Banks in her unceremonious departure from WWE. The reason is stated to be creative indifferences. However, when the rumors of Banks returning to WWE were spreading like wildfire, there were rumors that Naomi was also being persuaded by WWE to return. Naomi did return to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble entering the ring at number 2 spot.

The speculations of Banks’ being a part of the Rumble were also high because she was spotted with Bayley and Naomi on the day of the Premium Live Event. On the 02/02 episode of SmackDown, she was signed as a star on the Blue Brand of the company along with Tiffany Straton. Following this, many believed that Banks, too, would return to WWE. But sadly, looks like Banks might have made her decision. Let us know in the comments below whether you think Sasha Banks will return to WWE.
