About Shanghai Rolex Masters

The Masters event of the Asian swing, Shanghai Rolex Masters is the biggest tennis tournament for the ATP track in the continent of Asia.

It is the only ATP Masters 1000 event not played in Europe or North America. Shanghai Rolex Masters 2019 will be the 11th edition of the tournament.

The event is carried out on the hard courts, specifically DecoTurf. It follows the best of three sets format. The tournament usually gets underway in the first week of October every year.

The Serbian, Novak Djokovic was the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2018 champion and he defeated Borna Coric in the finals. Djokovic has won the title maximum number of times, which is four. Also, Djokovic and Andy Murray have entered the finals maximum number of times. Both have made it to the Shanghai finals four times.

Shanghai Masters 2019 Prize Money:

The singles champion of the tournament bags $1,192,780 and the runner is awarded $584,845. The doubles champions receive $369,380.
