The 8x NBA All-Star, Kyrie Irving, has always been a man of controversy. From anti-Semitic tweets to flipping off fans, fans often find Kyrie in contentious situations. More recently, the NBA champion was acquired by the Dallas Mavericks. As a result, Irving signed a 3-year $126 million contract with the Mavericks.

The acquisition brought forth some more good news. Shortly after, Kyrie stepped up to help a 93-year-old woman, who is embroiled in a legal battle over her family property. Kyrie goes out of his way to support this 93-year-old, and it’s truly heart-warming.?

Kyrie?s $40,000 worth gesture

The $126M richer Kyrie Irving donates $40,000 to this long-time resident of South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island. Josephine Wright is being sued by Bailey Point Investment Group for obstructing the developer’s progress.?

Wright filed a countersuit to protect her property, which she inherited from her late husband in 2012. Wright?s granddaughter created a GoFundMe page. With its help, they could raise money for legal proceedings. Kyrie Irving became a top donor to this campaign, as he selflessly committed a whopping $40k to Grandma Josephine?s cause.?

Newfound respect for Kyrie Irving

Fans came pouring with affection. The entire realm of the NBA appreciated Kyrie?s mindfulness in helping a lady stand up against the big corporation.

Some fans called him the ?man of the people?, while others affirmed that this is not the first time Irving has done something like this.

Fans are pleasantly surprised, and yet they did not fail to take a couple of jabs at Irving. One user mockingly comments, ?But is the earth flat?, referring to Irving?s flat-earth theory. While another user spoke in Kyries?s support, ?Honestly, I’ve always thought that Kyrie is a good person, but he just made a mistake with the anti-semitic stuff. Doesn?t mean he?s a bad person tho??
