The NCAA tournament dominated the beginning of the year in the basketball community. The biggest star to come out of it this year is Angel Reese. This didn’t happen just because of LSU’s championship win – other controversies played their part too. Reese had a brief rivalry with Caitlin Clark which escalated to a point where it became a nationwide debate. However, with the glorious victory, Reese left it all behind and has now become a star.
The 21-year-old now has several brand deals, has been featured on magazine covers, and has several other notable things going on in her life. However, the young star takes the most pride in representing her country every chance she gets. In fact, the LSU star recently fired a powerful three-word message, restating her patriotic feelings.

Even at such a young age, Reese is no stranger to attention and star status. Even after her LSU team won the championship this year, the controversy she was involved in helped her name become common in the media. Her on-court beef with Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark was particularly notable.
Reese suggested through her actions that she is going to win the championship by pointing with the ring finger on the court. As soon as she did that, chaos ensued as people debated whether or not what she had done was appropriate. However, Reese didn’t let the criticism stop her from reaching new heights of fame.
Recently, she even made it to the respectable list of other athletes nominated for a prestigious award. She is nominated for the ESPY Awards this year, due to her big success in this year’s tournament. The same award show has other nominees such as Patrick Mahomes and Nikola Jokic.
