It’s always a warm feeling for fans of prominent players or athletes to see their children pick up the mantle. Following in their parent’s footsteps helps to create a bridge between the legendary icons of the past and the promising talents of the future for the fans. An even better feeling occurs when members of the young generation form a connection that the fans can relate with connections established by their parents.

A recent example of this occurred when the children of legendary basketball players LeBron James and Dennis Rodman took to Instagram to share their latest collaboration.

The official Instagram handles of USC Men’s Basketball and USC’s Women Basketball recently uploaded a reel, which was captioned, “When your friend says they’re not pulling up to Galen Center this season.”

The video featured DJ Rodman and Bronny James giving a side eye, in a dramatic yet amusing fashion, in response to the caption. Other prominent players that were featured in the video alongside the duo included Juju Watkins and Isaiah Collier.

The post was liked by LeBron James and promoted on her story by Trinity Rodman, a professional soccer player and daughter of Dennis Rodman Jr. She captioned the story with the title, “Too good at that side eye @dj_rodman.” The 22-year-old athlete replied to the remark with one of his own, writing, “Learned it from you @trinity_rodman.”

Bronny James’s high school stats shows him to be a formidable player, despite not reaching his father’s level. He has an average of 14 points, 2.7 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game. James has been ranked as a four-star prospect and the eighth-best point guard in his class. This definitely places a mark on his talent and potential. The 6-foot-3 player is predicted to be one of the many prospects who could take the center court during the 2024 NBA draft.
