His victory was enjoyed by the nation of Spain. After Rafael Nadal, a young successor was born to keep the country?s tennis royalty alive. Nadal sent his congrats to Alcaraz.
Even Pau Gasol, a two-time NBA champion had a few congratulating words for the champion. Pau tasted his only NBA silverware after winning two rings with Kobe Bryant.

For Djokovic, his shot at tying the tennis record of 24 total Grand Slams fell apart. His dismay was evident when tears poured down his eyes after the game. However, as always, he remained a class act.
