The Washington Commanders‘ running back, Brian Robinson Jr. is known for a larger-than-life fashion statement. Quite literally. His ‘big hat’ fashion comes up in most media appearances, and it came up while he was on The Rich Eisen Show too. Eisen of course had to ask Robinson what’s it like to have a sports icon at the top of team management. By the young footballer’s account, the team is starstruck.

Calling him a “very cool guy,” he said Magic is bringing the championship-winning mindset from his NBA days to the gridiron.

The interviewer and the athlete later praised Johnson’s business acumen, calling it “second to none.” That’s when the host suggested that Robinson attempt a partnership with the new head honcho to make big hats a thing.

I have not got a chance to talk about big hats,” Robinson said about bringing up the topic to businessman Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

Brian Robinson wore an oversized baseball cap after the Commanders won a game last year. The hat was made by a friend’s company he was promoting. Robinson kickstarted the phenomenon that caused big hat sales to surge across the country.

Eisen suggested that Robinson should make a Shark Tank-style pitch to Magic to further grow the big hat craze. Interestingly, the hat-making company did pitch on the show which further boosted sales. Magic Johnson has an eye for business. So perhaps, Eisen and Robinson are on to something. Besides, the trendsetter has left a good impression on the new team owners.
