“WTF Iverson”: Shocked by Heartfelt Dwyane Wade Gesture, NBA Fans Call Out 11x All-Star’s Unusual Stint

The Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame induction ceremony is as much about the fashion as it is about the athletes. From the inductees to the presenters, the internet’s watching – and one presenter won the cake. Dwyane Wade asked a Philadelphia 76ers legend to be his presenter at the ceremony. From hanging out before and after the event to the presenting speech, ‘The Answer’ sort of stole the spotlight from ‘The Flash.’

Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson have spent the recent weeks proclaiming their love and adoration for each other. The senior HoF-er took their bromance up a notch at the ceremony by sporting a fashionable tribute to the Miami Heat star. Naturally, fans are loving it.

Dwyane Wade had strong reasons for choosing Allen Iverson as his presenter for his induction into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame. He’s made no secret of his admiration for the legend. AI too has been reciprocating likewise. Wade did something unusual by not picking a former teammate as his presenter. But their connection goes way back. ‘The Answer’ inspired D-Wade’s play style. He’d even wear the #3 jersey, same as Iverson wore for the majority of his playing career.

In the leadup to the HoF ceremony, Iverson said he wouldn’t miss it for any reason. On the day of, Iverson gave Wade a tribute in a suit that had No. 3 imprinted on his back. It’s not even AI’s 3. The name ‘Wade’ is embossed on the top.

His red-carpet appearance was eye-catching. NBA TV caught up with the duo off-stage and Iverson didn’t miss the chance to flaunt his #3 suit, which the fans loved:

Fans could probably count on their fingers wore a suit inhen Iverson w public. He made hip-hop fashion trendy among athletes and shunned suits in the past. He deliberately never wore suits to NBA games. He clashed with NBA executives when they enforced a formal dress code on players.
