Charles Barkley isn’t one to be swayed by public opinion. Whether it’s about an athlete, a team, a fan, or even a beverage that is the most consumed across the country, Barkley prefers things his own way. Recently Sir Charles unveiled that he doesn’t get the fuss around coffee and even labeled it as the “worst tasting s**t”. While this might not be shocking at all for anyone who has followed the NBA veteran for years, Barkley did give coffee a try before he formed such an opinion.

During a recent conversation with his “godfather” Ernie Johnson and Candace Parker on The Steam Room podcast, Barkley unveiled why he has such a strong opinion against coffee.

During the panel discussion over likes and dislikes, Ernie read a fan’s comment revealing Parker’s go-to coffee order. To say it was a short order would be an understatement. Nonetheless, it was Barkley’s reaction after listening to her preference that stole the show. “You pay money for coffee?” asked a stunned Chuckster.

Ernie and Candace continued discussing their coffee preferences before Barkley again interrupted, saying, “I tried coffee. I read this article that said coffee was good for you… So the first day I try it, I says, ‘This is the worst tasting s**t I’ve ever had in my life.'” Johnson, seemingly not interested in Barkley’s story, shifted his focus back to Parker.

However, this wasn’t the end of this segment as a bewildered Barkley continued making hilarious remarks. As they discussed hot and extra hot coffees, the 60-year-old questioned, “How can something be extra hot?” While laughing, Johnson explained, “It’s the way they make it.”

This led to the 3x WNBA champion giving an example of large and extra large for the Chuckster to understand, but the 1993 NBA MVP snapped at her, leaving her in splits.

The Chuckster knows the difference between XL and L

As soon as Parker brought up the size difference example, Barkley proclaimed, “I know the difference between large and extra large, woman.” While still being confused, the former Phoenix Suns star admitted that he needed to learn a few things around this.

As the conversation moved to different types of milk, the Round Mound of Rebound had another priceless question. “What’s the difference between oat milk and regular milk?” Barkley then went on to explain why he didn’t like milk.
