NBA legend Michael Jordan‘s daughter Jasmine decided to spend some family time by watching the Lakers play. However, there is a business plan behind this as well. Surprisingly, the 32-year-old was seen supporting the Lakers forward Rui Hachimura, which raised some doubts. Why is Jasmine interested in watching Hachimura play?

The Japanese sensation is indeed a treat to watch this season. He has been an X-factor off the bench, helping the Lakers consistently. Rui Hachimura has earned his fanbase in LA and looks like Jasmine is ready to increase her business’ profitably through the star’s popularity. 

Jasmine supports Rui Hachimura after signing with Jordan

Rui Hachimura is one of the best additions that the LA Lakers made this February. He showed his worth in the playoffs and continues to shine this season as the LA team stands at the 6th seed. We can say all these have attracted Jasmine’s attention. But, the 31-year-old mother is supporting Hachimura because he is quite a vital part of the Jordan family.

The Jordan brand has chosen some young superstars over the years, like Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, etc. Well, Hachimura is one of them who signed way back in 2019, when he was with the Wizards. 

He has to wait for his signature shoes, but the Jordan brand has used him in several promotions over the last few years. As a manager of the multi-billion company, Jasmine has starred Hachimura in a few PE editions, aka ‘Player Exclusives’. 

These editions are not available to the general public. It is just a collaboration with the signed players. The NBA star has consistently made himself available for all the promotions. With the fame he is getting at the moment, there is a good chance that Rui Hachimura can get his signature shoes. Now you know why Jasmine is keen on the Japanese star’s success. She was watching the Lakers on TV and she added, “Let’s Go @rui_8mura”.

Hachimura has been a part of the brand’s concepts from Jordan 36. Air Jordan 36 X Rui Hachimura was named the ‘Black Samurai’ and the hoop fans absolutely loved the concept behind it. Jasmine and the Jordan brand have added a Japanese heritage to the shoe designs in all their concepts with Hachimura.

The last release was in 2022. The Jordan brand has confirmed a concept with Rui Hachimura for 2023, but there are still no updates about it yet. This will also be a good chance for the company to target the Japanese audience. Hachimura’s signature shoe is on the cards.
