Music festivals are bigger than ever thanks to Big Diesel. Shaquille O’Neal livened up Lost Lands for the fourth time to follow up the launch of his own music festival, Bass All-Stars. His DJ Diesel persona outdoes his NBA glory and one fan captured it in a hilarious way. Shaq shared a fanart on the DJ Diesel Instagram page with a very expressive question. “Ok… who tf made this ?!?”

At first glance, if your brain made an instant connection to an iconic Disney franchise, you’re spot on.

This fan-made image is a recreation of the unforgettable Lion King scene presenting Simba to the Pridelands. Unlike the franchise, whose animated and live-action versions raked in a combined $2.5 billion in the box office, the Prideland ecosystem is replaced with the Lost Lands mosh pit.

Whoever attributed Rafiki to Shaq has a lot to answer for. The Los Angeles Lakers legend tagged his fellow bass stars, Subtronics, Level Up, and Excision in the post. The one filling in for Simba is Level Up.

After his surprise appearance in 2018, Shaquille O’Neal has made Lost Lands an annual tradition since 2021.

Dubbed the biggest mosh pit in the world, the 2023 festival in Thornville, Ohio boasted 80,000 EDM fanatics in attendance. That’s more than any NBA audience who came to watch O’Neal play in his prime.

Shaq outdid his 2022 headbanging set but fans turned the tables on him this year. Following the high-energy response from fans, the NBA legend was on Twitter immediately to convey his love to them.
