The NBA fining culture has only gotten worse with time. Earlier, the NBA fined players for certain violations of the NBA ?Code of? conduct? but in today? modern NBA, a player can be fined for literally anything.
In a recent interview, Detroit Pistons legend Rasheed Wallace questions David Stern and Adam Silver?s $90 billion business.
Rasheed Wallace asks an important question

In an interview for ?Underdog NBA? on ?YouTube?, former NBA star Rasheed Wallace opens up about the deteriorating referee standards in the NBA. He says in the interview, ?I don?t care about these damn fines because: (1) It could be a tax write-off or (2) Where do the f***ing fines go??. The former NBA star further adds, ?That?s been the biggest question amongst anyone in my era and my persona?that?s what we want to know. Where does it go??.
He says, ?They (the NBA) say it goes ?here? but they never give you a back-up of. Everything else, they?ll give you a trace of?Give me the same printout on where these fines go.?.
The former NBA star explains that he was okay with getting fined if he made a mistake. However, he states there was a lot of favouritism that was also being done with NBA players. With NBA players like Michael Jordan, who are the so-called ?face? of the NBA, got away with a lot of misconduct because the referees always gave Jordan the benefit of doubt.

Standing at 6?11, Rasheed Wallace played as a Center and? Power Forward during his time in the NBA. He had a decent NBA career and, at one point, was considered as one of the top ?big men? in the league.
Rasheed Wallace?s NBA career
Rasheed Wallace played college basketball in the prestigious North Carolina before declaring for the NBA draft in 1995. He was the overall pick number 4 in round 1 of the 1995 NBA draft. Through the course of his 16-year-long NBA career, Rasheed Wallace averaged 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 passes per game. He was part of the iconic Detroit Pistons squad of 2004, which went onto beat the Los Angeles Lakers who had the Late Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O?Neal.

Rasheed Wallace was also famous in the NBA community for another statistic of his – the second most number of technical fouls that an NBA player has ever had in one regular NBA season. He set an NBA record with 41 technical fouls in 80 games in the 2000-2001 NBA season. He was the main reason the NBA instituted the rule that after 15 technical fouls, a player is suspended.
Rasheed Wallace was not the type of person to stand down to anyone, especially if he was not in the wrong. His interactions with referees over his career reflected that as it brought for some hilarious yet outrageous incidents between him and the referees.
