Five-time NBA Champion Dennis Rodman was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in the year 2011. He recently sat down with VladTV to have a conversation about his life and career. There, the Rebound King opened up about the conditions he grew up in and what he had to endure along the way.
Rodman said, “It’s one of those things when you live in the projects and you have no direction. There’s no way to just be you. It’s more like what you see in your surroundings what you’re going to be into.”

He made it clear that the residency projects that he was residing in didn’t provide him with opportunities to get ahead. The 2-time All-Star revealed that he used to steal from people.
Dennis Rodman added, “I wasn’t killing nobody. You know. Stabbing people I wasn’t doing that I was doing all the other simple stuff.”
Dennis described his actions as “simple” when compared to killing and stabbing people. Many might disagree with Rodman’s definition of the term “simple”. After all, most wouldn’t consider stealing and robbing simple.
But there’s no denying that he has turned things around in tremendous fashion.

Dennis Rodman experienced homelessness in his life. Before giving in to being a criminal he revealed how basketball saved him. Rodman revealed how he got scouted by Southeastern Oklahoma University.
He said, “They knocked again. I see yeah that?s who I am and stuff like that. I thought I was going to prison?But that was two coaches from Southeastern Oklahoma when they came and wanted me to try out and put a team.” And the rest was history!

He assumed he was going to get arrested when the scouts came to look for him. Fans of the NBA legend are surely grateful for the perseverance of Dennis Rodman.
