The Golden State Warriors have been on a downward spiral. Some might say that this is the last chapter of the fall of the Warriors dynasty. Either way, they have been on a disappointing run, to say the least. Amidst all of this, the Warriors superstar Stephen Curry had a moment of joy.

However, Charles Barkley didn’t like seeing it so he admonished Curry for that on Inside the NBA show. Barkley didn’t hold back while addressing the burning topic of their downfall as well.

During the second quarter of their game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Curry, after securing a well-fought-for basket, hit the “Shimmy” as he was on the court. While most fans enjoyed seeing him happy on the court, especially since everything has been tough to endure, Barkley didn’t appreciate it one bit. While reacting to the footage on his show, he said, “Shimmy’s not good when you’re in last place.” The Warriors ended up losing that game against the Grizzlies by 116-107, despite Curry’s 26 points.

Although they deserve every chance they can get to enjoy themselves, Barkley’s comment holds a lot of value too. The Warriors are experiencing one of their worst seasons ever and as time goes by, the disappointment somehow continues to pile up. They are currently in the bottom 4 of the Western Conference charts, sitting at #12 position with a record of 18-22. The Warriors have been written off by the majority’s opinion and it is only the die-hard fans who still have a glimmer of hope attached to the Dub Nation.

As for the problems that have led them to this place, the list is endless. The team has lost all the balance that led them to win four championships in recent years. More importantly, the veterans on the squad are aging and they are yet to find suitable replacements for them. What has done the most damage to the team’s reputation in recent times is Draymond Green‘s actions.

Not only have Green’s actions disrupted the balance of the team, but they have also brought them a lot of bad PR, which they are now dealing with on a daily basis. Is there any hope left for the Warriors? Maybe. But for that, they’ll need to make some major changes and will have to regroup with a fresh energy where everyone’s contributions will matter equally. Hopefully, we’ll get to witness The Last Dance of the Warriors squad.
